Postcode data to be free in 2010
According to the BBC, the government is planning to give free access to the UK’s postcode data from April 2010. This is a welcome development for any business that currently pays for this data. The postcode plan is part of a much wider government strategy to make Ordnance Survey mapping and postcode datasets available for free reuse.
